1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes how MY-TAB GLOBAL LIMITED ("My-Tab", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and handles personal data in connection with the My-Tab hospitality software platform operated at my-tab.app and manager.my-tab.app.
My-Tab is a Hong Kong registered company. Our data practices are guided by applicable data protection requirements including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.
2. Data we collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Patron session data — contact identifier (phone number or messaging ID) used to open and manage a tab at a venue; order history and tab totals for the active session.
- Venue operator data — name, contact email, and account credentials for venue manager accounts.
- Usage data — standard server logs and platform usage data collected automatically during use of the platform.
3. How we use personal data
- To operate the My-Tab platform — processing patron orders, managing live tabs, and facilitating bill requests.
- To send transactional and operational messages — including verification, order confirmation, billing reminders, and account-status updates, where relevant to an active session.
- To operate and maintain the Manager portal for venue staff.
- To fulfil legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from regulatory authorities.
We do not use patron data for unsolicited marketing without consent. Marketing communications are handled separately and only where the required consent has been obtained.
4. Messaging and patron communications
My-Tab uses third-party messaging channels including WhatsApp and Zalo to send service-related messages to patrons. These communications are transactional in nature and directly related to the patron's active session at the venue.
Patron contact data collected for session purposes is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with:
- Third-party service providers who assist in operating the platform (e.g., cloud infrastructure, messaging API providers), under appropriate data processing agreements.
- The venue operator whose venue the patron is visiting, to the extent required to deliver the service.
- Regulatory or law enforcement authorities where required by law.
6. Data retention
Patron session data is retained for the duration necessary to complete the session and for a reasonable period thereafter for operational and legal purposes. Venue operator account data is retained for the duration of the account relationship and as required by applicable law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to your personal data; correction of inaccurate data; deletion of data; objection to certain processing; and the right to lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority.
